A new play by Robin Soans

Based on real events, Mixed Up North is a fiercely funny and moving new play. Based on real events surrounding the difficulties of uniting divided racial communities in the Lancashire mill town of Burnley.

Out of Joint is famed for its fascinating "verbatim" documentary plays, from David Hare's The Permanent Way to Robin Soan's A State Affair and Talking to Terrorists. Robin has also written The Arab Israeli Cookbook (which became an actual cookbook as well as a play) and Life After Scandal, about the Hamiltons.
