The oldest grand music hall in the world is putting the music very firmly back into the Hall with the world premiere of the Wilton’s Music 4all Festival. Wilton’s is a hub of inspiration for new talent and this year we are focusing on emerging musical talent.

We have selected the best emerging artists in each of the following categories:
Opera
Contemporary & Jazz
Rock, Pop & Indie
Cabaret & Alternative
Urban, Electronic & DJ

They are being mentored by a professional individual or organisation and rehearsing at Wilton’s, ready to perform live as part of the Festival in May. Mentors include: English National Opera, Dan Gillespie Sells, Tim Whitehead, Bengi Ünsal and DJ Yoda.

The artists performing in the Cabaret & Alternative category are:
Ruth Connick – Selector Le Pooch
Selector Le Pooch aka Ruthie Connick is a character actor who’s never afraid to try something new. Ruthie spent the first five years of her career working on new adaptations of modern classic texts under artist Than Hussein Clark. Never fully satisfied by drama she travelled to Australia to become a milkmaid. When a friend signed her up for a fringe show in regional Western Australia she knew she’d found her thing - comedy. Her satirical influencer character ‘This One’ has been well received on Instagram and the London comedy circuit, being described as Ali G x AbFab. With ‘This One’ ticking along nicely she’s ready to add to her repertoire. Selector Le Pooch is a flamboyant DJ who aims to make you laugh and move with jokes and tunes.

Ena Fay
Ena Fay draws you in with her distinctive voice and unique writing style which are at the core of her soulful music. London based since 2012, she has been pursuing her passion by studying contemporary music performance at ICMP, performing (solo or with full band) at renowned venues such as The Bedford in Balham and by putting on her own concerts in 2017 (London) and 2019 (Belfast). Meanwhile she independently recorded and released her seven track debut EP ‘Arwen’ with her lead single ‘This Is Us’. With her second EP now in the works, theatrical elements continue to drive the feel of the songs. This time they are stories written directly from her own heart rather than telling the stories of others.

Freddie Love
Freddie Love is a multifaceted gender fluid singer, drag artist, storyteller, & glitter addict. A country hick turned rhinestone rover, they clawed their way out of rural Oklahoma & into the worlds of opera, drag, & cabaret. Freddie’s performances are campy, heartfelt, glittery medicine. Freddie lives in the UK with their partner and two imaginary dogs.

With thanks to Tim Whitehead for mentoring the Cabaret & Alternative category.

Tim Whitehead founded Tim Whitehead Management, an artist’s management company who look after: The Tiger Lillies, Jinkx Monsoon, Camille O’Sullivan, Bourgeois and Maurice, Jonny Woo, David Hoyle, Dina Martina and Peaches Christ. Tim also produces the Happy Valley Pride and Trans Vegas Festivals hosting international, national and local artists. Prior to this Tim worked for Soho Theatre programming exceptional cabaret and comedy.
