Wilton's

Victorian wallpaper and pattern workshop

12th April . 11am to 3pm . Suitable for ages 6 and over
Free ·
Wilton's Wicked Wednesdays are an opportunity for the community to engage with free arts and crafts sessions whilst learning about Wilton's history.
Welcome to all and fun for all the family.

Take Inspiration from William Morris (the Victorian textile designer) and become an artist for the day by creating your own Victorian wallpaper to take home. Use different patterns (by making your own cardboard stamp), colours and textures to create some unique designs that John Wilton will be proud to have feature in his Music Hall. To help you with your designs, see the original Victorian wallpaper from the 1850s in the Mahogany bar to help with your own!

No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Limited buggy parking.

Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This will be a messy activity so please bring a spare change of clothes or wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.

The Mahogany Bar will be open serving teas and coffees during the workshop

Take a picture of your creations and share them on twitter with the hashtag #wiltonswickedwednesdays on @WiltonMusicHall - we would love to see what you make!
