Sung in English in a completely new version by Jeff Clarke

Opera della Luna’s new version of Donizetti’s opera comique tells the old story in a new setting. Don’t expect comic opera soldiers in this fast and furious adaptation.

The Regiment is one of California’s most notorious biker gangs.  Mad, bad, and dangerous to know; yet they have looked after the abandoned baby girl who was mysteriously left at their camp many years ago. But who is this mysterious young woman who has lived with them all her life, and grown up in a dangerous man’s world? And why is the glamorous socialite Marsha Berkenfield so interested in her?

The cast includes soprano Elin Pritchard as the Daughter of The Regiment. Tonio, the tenor with the 9 top C’s, will be sung by Jesus Alvarez.

Running time: 2hrs 10mins + 20 min interval
