Swinging entertainment from an all-female, all-star line-up, as cabaret diva Tricity Vogue returns to Wilton's with her joyous All Girl Swing Band. After a phenomenal sell-out show last year, Tricity's nine-piece ensemble is back for a two-date run in 2020. What better way to celebrate the return of the twenties than with a night of vintage musical mischief? Expect musical surprises and cheeky cabaret from a wicked line-up of the finest jazz musicians, and one very badly-behaved tap dancer.
Joining Tricity and her banjo ukulele will be trumpeter Becca Toft, leading a three-part horn section with Yasmin Ogilvie on saxophone and Emma Bassett on trombone. Pianist Sarah Bodalbhai, guitarist Emily O'Hara, double bassist Amy Baldwin and drummer Michèle Drees make up the rhythm section. And the show would not be complete without tap dancer Josephine Shaker's continuous attempts to upstage Tricity with her antics.
Inspired by 1930s bandleader Ivy Benson, Tricity Vogue's All Girl Swing Band have been winning hearts and wowing audiences at grand venues all over the UK since 2011 with swing versions of retro pop classics, delicious vintage tunes, and Tricity's own saucy original numbers.
Their annual Wiltons extravaganza is the band's gig highlight of the year.
Running time: approximately 2 hours, including a 30 minute interval
